David Strong

Mr. Strong is a Senior Vice President of Kelson Energy and recently served as the General Manager of New Harquahala Generating Company (1,092 MW, AZ). Mr. Strong is responsible for the management of Kelson’s merger and acquisition activities. Mr. Strong managed the turnaround and redevelopment of the Island Cogeneration Facility (260 MW, BC) after its steam host ceased operations and then managed Island’s sale to Capital Power. Previously he was the General Manager of Redbud Energy (1,230 MW, OK) where he was instrumental in resolving the deliverability and transmission issues that had historically limited the plant to part load operation. Prior to joining Kelson in 2002, Mr. Strong held a senior position at Orion Power Holdings. Mr. Strong received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron and is a registered Professional Engineer in California.
