Michael Chapman

Mr. Chapman is a Senior Vice President of Kelson Energy and currently serves as President of Dogwood Power Management – the Kelson entity that manages the 650 MW Dogwood Energy Facility on behalf of Dogwood’s ownership group. He is also supporting the 1,700 MW Calon Energy generation business in the UK. Previously, Mr. Chapman was General Manager for several of Kelson’s asset management engagements including Sundevil Power (1,100 MW, AZ), Magnolia Energy (968 MW, MS), King City Cogen (120 MW, CA), and Attala Generation (515 MW, MS). Mr. Chapman also leads Kelson’s battery storage and renewables initiatives. During 2020 – 2022, he developed and continues to assist with the management of the 5 MWh KPP Solomon battery storage facility now operating in SPP. Mr. Chapman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia.
