
Michael Chapman
Mr. Chapman is a Senior Vice President of Kelson Energy. Currently he serves as President of Dogwood Power Management—the Kelson entity that manages on behalf of Dogwood’s six-member ownership group the 650-MW Dogwood Energy Facility generation business in SPP. He is also supporting the 1,700-MW Calon Energy generation business in the U.K. Previously Mr. Chapman was General Manager of several of Kelson’s asset management engagements including 1,100-MW Sundevil Power (AZ), 968-MW Magnolia Energy (TVA), 120-MW King City Cogen (CAISO), and 515-MW Attala (Entergy). Mr. Chapman also leads Kelson’s battery storage and renewables initiatives. During 2020-2022 he developed and continues to assist with management of the 5 MWh KPP Solomon battery storage facility now operating in SPP. Mr. Chapman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech and holds a Professional Engineer registration in Virginia.
